This past weekend was the REVOLUTION Fall Retreat. It was my first REVOLUTION retreat and it was absolutely incredible. The weekend was filled with fun, worship, laughter, honesty, team building, food, and games.

80+ REVOLUTION teenagers, youth leaders, and parents all piled into 15-passenger vans and headed to Camp WOW in Stuart, Oklahoma. Our theme for the weekend, “WE ARE FAMILY”, asked questions such as “What does it mean to be a church family?”, “What does an amazing church family look like?”, “Do we look like the original church family in Acts 2?”, and “How can we keep growing as a church family?”

Lives were changed. People grew closer to God. People grew closer to each other.

Watching my tiny little 6th grade girls jump from rock to rock along the backside of the campfire (before it was lit, thankfully) made me crazy! those girls got some SKILLS because the rocks were far away and they were acting like it was hopscotch.

Tara and me being BLOWN AWAY at how well our small group worked together to complete the EXPLOSION game. We set hard time limits and were totally strict with them and they STILL excelled! Team work, check! Awesomeness, check!

    Praying together in service.

Watching THEM take the lead and pray together in the dorms before lights out. (It’s OK to be proud about that, right!!!??? 2 Cor 10:17)

Laughing my BUTT OFF at the ridiculous game with Adam and Lauren in the hot seat. Wesley and Brooke won hands down, but EVERYONE was a winner (or loser, depending on how you looked at it) that night! …Laugh till tears, check!
