birthday-candles

“Yes, I am going to attempt to start blogging. I hope to share a little of my brain with world wide web from time to time. I will try to write from time to time on a variety of subjects…life, faith, family, sports, random, etc. If you know me, then you know that my brain is always going. I think from the time I wake up till the time I go to bed. Let’s see if I can get some of those thoughts out on the world wide web so the entire global civilization with a computer can see them. What a brilliant idea!” – Brian Cromer, March 11, 2008

This is a quote from the first BRIANCROMER.COM post ever. 365 days, 303 posts, 1500 comments, and over 58,000 visitors later, BRIANCROMER.COM turns one year old today.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for every time you visit this website. Trust me, I know that there are better, more creative, more fun websites out there. I am completely humbled and blown away that anyone would read my oh so random thoughts on all the oh so random things that pop into my head. Whether you are family, a friend, a peer, a teenager, a co-worker, an old teammate, an acquaintance, or a stranger, please know that the author of this blog appreciates you.

For those of you who are daily readers and contributers to this blog, you rock. For those of you who sporadically visit this blog and for those of you who somehow stumbled across this website, I invite you to be a regular reader and contributer.

My goal from day one of this blog was to be real, to be authentic, to not take myself too seriously, and to have fun. I wanted this to be another area of my life where I could be disciplined. I would be lying if I said I take the time, energy, and brain power to write almost daily just for me and my benefit. You are a big reason why I write. Thanks for being there through the great posts and the duds.

BRIANCROMER.COM’s one superficial birthday wish is to some time this year break my August 15, 2008 busiest day (the individual day in the blog’s existence where it was viewed the most times) of 666 views. That number has been freaking me out for seven months now. Spread the word. Let’s break this record this year (even if that means you hitting “refresh” multiple times in one day).
