Here is the question of the day that I need your help answering: What Halloween candy do Heather and I need to get to give the trick-or-treaters on Friday night?
We have already initially purchased our trick-or-treat candy but it was demolished by a group of teenage guys who came over to watch the Tennessee Titans defeat the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night.
We should be making our Halloween Wal-Mart run in the next 24-36 hours and we want to do it right. We want to be known as a house to go to for trick-or-treat. We want to be known as a house that gives good, quality candy.
What is the best Halloween candy in your book? That’s what we want – the best. Whether it is the mini Snickers, 100 Grand, or Skittles, our desire is that the kids’ eyes light up at the sight of our candy bowl and the desire to try to fool us by coming back for seconds pops into their heads.
I am not interested in buying the generic bag of assorted candy for $0.99 or those generic, chewy, mystery Halloween candies that come in either the black or orange wrapper (you know what candy I’m talking about?). To make it clear, I am looking to give away candy and nothing else. No pencils, no unwrapped candy like candy corn, no nutrigrain bars, no apples, no fruit of any kind, no old canned goods, etc.
So I need your help to make 900 Barbara St the house to go to for trick-or-treat bliss. I am actually willing to crack open the wallet (shocker for some, I know) and provide the good stuff this year. Or at least get some candy that Heather and I will enjoy eating the leftovers (come on, you know you do the same thing)!

UPDATE OCTOBER 30, 2008, 3:40PM – Heather and I have made our final decision and purchased our trick-or-treat candy. We stepped up this year. We went with FULL-SIZE candy bars. I can’t tell you exactly what we got, but I will say that they are name brands and very delicious. Get to 900 Barbara St early this year folks.
