Pleasantly Surprised

Posted: October 6, 2008 in Life, Movies

The Cromer family rented some movies this weekend to watch (one of my favorite things to do to relax on the weekends). While Heather and I walked around Blockbuster, we decided to rent IRONMAN

I was reluctant to commit to watching this movie because I am not the biggest fan of comic book movies. For the most part, comic book movies are cheesy, cartoon-ish movies filled with bad acting and terrible one-liners (of course, there are exceptions such as the newer Batman movies). Movies such as the old Batman movies, Fantastic Four movies, and the Spiderman movies all fit this mold. IRONMAN does not belong in the cheesy, cartoon-ish, comic book movies. It was actually a really good movie and I was pleasantly surprised. I totally recommend IRONMAN.

  2. Faith "FD" says:

  3. Tim says:

I felt the same way the first time I saw Fletch! It is still the best movie ever made PERIOD!

  4. C says:

Fletch!!!!!! The best movie ever made?

You kidding me? You need to take more time to get out of your cubicle and spend some time behind a windshield with me and let me broaden you movie library…..

    Keep running B.

T – I have not seen “August”. Is that the same movie as “August Rush”, which Faith recommended?

Tim – I have seen Fletch. It’s good, but best movie ever? I’m not sure about that one.

  6. Faith "FD" says:

Yes Brian i know you are asking that Q to Teresa but she mencioned the little boy with the musical talent. I believe they are the same becauses i have heard my friends calling it August and i think that the real movie title is August Rush.

I am truly worried about this generation that cannot comprehend the significance of perfect one liner comedy movies. Don’t you know that “It’s all ball bearing these days” (Quote from the “Greatest movie of all time.” Ok I’ll hush now!
