Oklahoma City Video

I finally figured out how to get one of my videos from this summer online. Here is the video for the 2008 Oklahoma City mission trip that the SOC/SM took in early July. Twenty teens and adults went to go serve the people of Oklahoma City and share the love of God with anybody we came into contact with.

For further information, check out the posts that I sent from Oklahoma:

I know that watching videos of something you were not at can feel like being people who are laughing at inside jokes that you are not a part of, leaving you smirking awkwardly trying to fit in. To help not feel that feeling watching this video, here is what you will see in this video:

  • Working at three homeless shelters: Jesus House, Grace Rescue Mission, City Rescue Mission
  • Working at a food bank at Jesus House
  • Serving food to homeless
  • Washing those shelters’ vans
  • Staying at the same hotel as the Jonas Brothers
  • Cleaning a large gym
  • Organizing and sorting more pills/medication than you can imagine
  • Helping run a VBS
  • Street evangelism by handing out free Bibles and lightbulbs
  • Running two block-parties for two churches including face-painting, bounce-houses, puppet shows, snowcones, popcorn, and much more.

Hope that helps you understand this video better. If you have any questions or need more explanation, please do not hesitate to let me know. Enjoy the video.

but technically its not crap. for me just to think that we help them make it easier for others, it really makes me feel like i have a purpose in live.
thanks for giving me the opportunity.
